Step-by-Step Guide: Importing LUTs Directly onto a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera (BMPCC)

To import LUTs (Lookup Tables) directly onto a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera (BMPC), you will need to follow these steps:

  1. Make sure your BMPC camera is running the latest firmware. You can check this and update the firmware if necessary by visiting the Blackmagic Design website.

  2. Use a USB thumb drive to transfer the LUT files to the camera. Make sure the LUT files are in ".cube" format and are placed in the "LUT" folder on the thumb drive.

  3. Insert the thumb drive into the camera's USB-C port.

  4. On the camera, go to the "Menu" button and navigate to "Settings" and then "External Recorder".

  5. Under "LUT", select "User LUT" and then select the LUT file you want to use from the thumb drive.

  6. The LUT will now be applied to the camera's image and can be previewed on the camera's LCD screen or via an external monitor connected to the camera's HDMI port.

Note: The above steps are based on the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K and 6K, the process may vary based on the model of BMPC camera you have.
